“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” by J.K. Rowling and friends

Harry_Potter_and_the_Cursed_Child_Special_Rehearsal_Edition_Book_CoverDon’t worry, I didn’t forget how to read.

It’s just been super busy what with moving to a different state and all. Plus, I’m trying to finish three other in-progress books right now.

Obviously I bought this book the day it came out, even though I failed to research and find out that there was a midnight release party at the Barnes & Noble like 12 minutes from my house. But it only took me three weeksish to finish! Because J.K. Rowling is a genius, but we already knew that.

Even though this is a screenplay and not a *book* it is super detailed and involved, in a super cool kind of way. There’s lots of character development with characters we know and love, and some new ones, too. Plus it’s just a really good storyline.

I was trying to imagine how some of the scenes could be done because they seemed so magical (as in the use of magic), and I’m curious as to how they’ll be performed. Because obviously I am going to see this play whenever it comes to the US. I will wait years! But I’m sure it will still be running by then because it’s Harry Potter and mostly everyone loves Harry Potter. Because J.K. Rowling.

Anyway, two thumbs up, would recommend because J.K. Rowling and/or Harry Potter series.

Other than this screenplay, I’m also (still) reading “Wicked,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” and “Me Before You.”

“Wicked” is still happening just because I’m stubborn at this point. I restarted “Goblet of Fire” because it had been so long, but hopefully I can keep that train rolling this time. I’ve been on “Me Before You” since the beginning of summer. I like it, but I have so many other things I feel like I have to do and therefore have a problem with picking it up. But I am *trying* to be better. We’ll see how that goes.

And now, I must get my big kitty cat ready to go to the vet.

Wish me luck,
Maegan
